Andrew Scott had been cast as Tom Ripley in “Ripley” the Showtime series adaptation about Patricia Highsmith’s murderous grifter. The eight-episode project will be written and directed by Steven Zaillian, whose screenplay credits include The Irishman among many others.


Peter Coonan recently completed filming the role of Ding Dong in the Paramount/TNT series THE ANGEL OF DARKNESS.


He was also recently seen in the role of Naylor on the BBC series DUBLIN MURDERS, and will next be seen on screen in the role of Paddy in COLD COURAGE for MTG.

Louisa Harland- Orla McCool in “The Derry Girls” second season Channel 4.  “I went to Ann Kavanagh’s  Young Peoples Theatre in Rathfarnham, and I used to do the féis. I was obsessed with theatre because I went to this theatre school and I was obsessed with Shakespeare. I wanted to go to London to the big drama schools and train there… I was obsessed with theatre from a very young age.”

Comedy trio , Foil, Arms and Fog are moving from stage to screes and will appear on Jason Byrne’s new TV3 show, Snaptastic. The three pals from Rathfarnham,Sean Flanagan our past pupil, Conor Mckenna and Sean Finegan make up the comedy sketch trio.

Sarah Bolger has joined the cast of inspirational football drama “My All American”. Aaron Eckhart and Finn Wittrock star in director Angelo Pizzoa’s true story of 1960s University of Texas football great, Freddie Steinmark and his relationship with legendary Texas coach, Darrell Royal. Bolger plays Linda Wheeler, Steinmark’s high school sweetheart who follows him to college.

Its been a long road for Sean Flanagan and Peter Coonan from winning first place in Feis Maitiu in the duologues under 10. Congratulations to Peter for his Best Supporting Actor IFTA award as Fran in Love/Hate and congratulations to Sean on his sell out tour with Foil Arms and Hog. Sophie Jo Wasson and Alan McMahon graduated in  May from Lir Dramatic Academy, Trinity College Dublin.

Congratulations to Sarah Bolger in her upcoming animated film “From Up on Poppy Hill” directed by Goro Miyasaki.. Sarah is fast becoming the darling of American screens as she clocks up the US TV and film roles.

Sarah’s latest gig is sure to cement her place as one of Hollywood’s most in demand ingénues. The 22-year-old has just been signed to star in a ‘character-driven period drama’ alongside Iron Man 3’s James Badge Dale. Filming began in September in Texas and will follow a Civil War veteran who gets involved in a lethal feud with one of his neighbours.
